""'"."\11 <br />CONSTRUCTION DID <br />CONSTR UCTION <br /> <br />The schedule is highly dependent on two considerations: <br /> <br />1. The NEPA and peIlIlit process. For the Overland dam rehabilitation worlc perfoIlIled in 1986 <br />and 1987, the time from initiating the permitting process until start of construction was 17 <br />months, from January, 1985 until May, 1987. Therefore, the above schedule allows the same <br />amount oftime. However, if that process is sufficiently shorter for the currently proposed <br />restoration project, it might be possible to start construction some time in 2006. <br /> <br />2. Because of the elevation of the project site (nearly 10,000 ft), the construction season is very <br />weather dependent and the maximum construction season is limited to May through <br />November. <br /> <br />6 <br />
