<br />IBCC Colorado River Basin <br />Minutes of Meeting on November 27, 2006 <br /> <br />1. Next Meeting: Monday, December 18, Glenwood Springs Community Recreation Center, <br />1:00 to 4:00. <br /> <br />a. Agenda: Determine Water Supply Reserve Account grant requests. The CBRT <br />prefers to move this to first on the agenda, immediately after October minutes are <br />approved. <br /> <br />b. Members should bring grant requests for discussion. A sample grant request is <br />included as an appendix to these minutes. <br /> <br />2. Upcoming meetings: <br /> <br />a. March 26,2007: Rod Sharp, CSU Extension, will present a workshop from 9:00 to 12:30 <br />on Understanding Agricultural Water Management, immediately prior to the March <br />CBRT Roundtable meeting. <br /> <br />b. Carolyn Tucker, Communication Director with Shell Oil, will make a presentation on <br />water needed for oil shale development, date tba. <br /> <br />1. Jim Pearce is now working with Shell. Formerly with the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District, Jim made a presentation on the Green Mountain Reservoir <br />pump back at the June 2006 CBRT meeting. <br /> <br />3. Approve October 23 meeting minutes. The minutes were unanimously approved with no <br />changes. <br /> <br />4. IBCC Report: Carlyle CUlTier & Stan Cazier <br /> <br />a. Next meeting: February 2,2007, at the Holiday Inn near Chambers Road and 1-70 in <br />Denver by the airport. Eric Kuhn will discuss remaining water available under the <br />Colorado River Compact to fund the SWSI Gap. <br /> <br />b. Governor Elect Bill Ritter can appoint six members to the IBCC committee in place of <br />the members that Governor Owens appointed. <br /> <br />c. Rick Brown gave a SWSI report and mentioned that the Agricultural Dry-up and <br />Environmental-Recreation SWSI Roundtables have been unable to reach consensus. <br /> <br />d. Stan Cazier mentioned that most of the participants in the SWSI Municipal and Industrial <br />Subcommittee were historic players from the Front Range (Denver Water, City of <br />Aurora, etc.) and that there was little Western Slope participation in this committee. <br /> <br />5.
