<br />Selection of Two Interbasin Compact Committee Representatives <br /> Eric Hecox lead the disc ussion on the process for selecting two representatives to <br />the Interbasin Compact Committees (IBCC). Mr. Hecox noted that the responsibilities <br />for this position would include: <br />Attending meetings Russell George has scheduled one day per month until <br />? <br /> <br />next Ju ly <br />Receiving reimbursement fromThe State for expenses such as food, lodging, <br />? <br /> <br />mileage, etc., for these representatives <br />Representatives having the ability to take information from the Roundtable to <br />? <br /> <br />share with the statewide committee <br />Representatives having th e ability to take information from the State <br />? <br /> <br />discussions back to this Roundtable group <br /> <br />Gus Sandstrom moved that these positions be temporary and nominated Alan <br />Hamel to the position of Compact Committee Representative; Denzil Goodwin <br />seconded the motion. During discussion there was a concern about what temporary <br />meant. Gus Sandstrom then withdrew his motion and moved that the two members <br />would serve until the charter is completed which is approximately July 1. Denzil <br />Goodwin agreed to the motion change and the motion was passed on voice vote. A <br />motion by Jeris Danielson, seconded by Kathy Justice regarding last month’s definition <br />stated that the group would accept that definition of temporary representatives and the <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Jeris Danielson mov ed to take applications for the two IBCC representatives. <br />Kathy Justice seconded the motion. Discussion suggested that qualifications would be <br />for an individual to own water rights or be an agent of a reservoir or ditch company. <br />Motion passed on voice v ote. Further discussion requested the application forms be put <br />on the website with a deadline date for application included. <br /> <br />Kathy Justice moved to restrict the application process to current board members <br />of the Arkansas Basin Roundtable. Motion seco nded by Jeris Danielson, motion passed <br />on voice vote. <br /> <br />By - Laws <br /> Eric Hecox volunteered to give a presentation on by - laws at the next meeting. <br />Alan Hamel suggested that he would organize a committee to take recommendations <br />for changes of the proposed by - la ws. These members agreed to meet with Mr. Hamel <br />prior to the next meeting to develop a process for by - laws. (Brenna Wieker has these <br />names.) <br />
