The plan is prepared in accordance with the National Flood Insurance Reform Act <br />of 1994 - Title V. Section 553, Mitigation Assistance. <br /> <br />The City of Fort Collins and Larimer County jointly sponsored mitigation plan includes flood <br />prevention activities that wi111essen the frequency and severity of flooding and decrease <br />predicted damages, as well as provide for overall multi-objective management within the Dry <br />Creek floodplain. <br /> <br />As a condition for grants funds activities, a local government mitigation plan must be approved <br />by FEMA. It is our understanding that the Colorado Water Conservation Board is reviewing <br />eligible plans for grant assistance and will receive grant money from the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency. <br /> <br />If you have any questions or require additional material please call me at 970-224-6036.
