<br />City of Lamar, Colorado <br />Potential for Pressurized Secondary Water <br />page 2 <br /> <br />Scope of Work and Project Goals <br /> <br />The work described and proposed here will build on and dovetail with work completed to date through the <br />Colorado State University dual systems project. <br /> <br />Specific tasks associated with this proiect are as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. Review current City of Lamar potable water' master plan. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />2. Review water rights to ensure suitable raw water resources for sites anticipated to utilize raw <br />water in the future. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />3. Evaluate probable costs and water requirements (annual and peak season demand) associated <br />with secondary water service adjacent to Willow Creek Park and an existing site north of Savage <br />Avenue off of the Fort Bent Canal. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />4. Survey of additional new or existing residential development water requirements that would be ./ <br />served by secondary supply. <br /> <br />5. Assess Fort Bent Canal improvements suitable to provision the City of Lamar's water for <br />secondary supply. <br /> <br />/' <br /> <br />6. Evaluate community perception towards pressurized secondary water. ./ <br /> <br />7. Create a GIS database to show key features of a future secondary supply system. <br /> <br />8. Obtain design and record drawings for existing landscape irrigation systems (assuming drawings <br />exist) served by potable water and evaluate equipment suitability for conversion to a raw water <br />source. <br /> <br />9. Estimate probable installed costs: , <br /> <br />o <br />o <br />o <br /> <br />Probable costs for all improvements. <br />Financing options. 1\ <br />Payback options and approach. ..x <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />10. Estimate of probable annual O&M costs. X. <br /> <br /> <br />Specific deliverables resultinq from thisproiect are anticipated as follows: <br /> <br />GIS mapping and drawings to complement and support the project. Base GIS data is anticipated to come <br />from the City, from the County, or from other sources such as Maptech. All GIS data will be compatible <br />with ESRl's ArcView ArcMap, version 8.1, and delivered on CD media. <br /> <br />1. Supportive system maps showing recommended improvements and concepts of pressurization <br />and provision of secondary supply. <br /> <br />2.A formal feasibility study report to the City of Lamar and CWCB to describe results of the work <br />and to make recommendations for future improvements. <br />
