<br />The East Mancos Highline Ditch Company is c.omprised of 6 members that manage 5.75 <br />miles of open ditch, with an annual diversion 6f approximately 870 cfs and a 700 acre <br />I <br />service area. This project involves piping the 5.75 miles of ditch with lO-inch to 15-inch <br />PVC Pipe to create a pressurized system for th~ users. The project is a joint effort with <br />I <br />NRCS's Salinity Control Program. NRCS is c9ntributing 75% of the cost towards the <br />design and construction of the project. Construction has commenced with project <br />t <br />completion anticipated in November of 2007. [The project is approximately 25% <br />complete I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />1. Silt Water Conservancy District - p'ump Plant Rehabilitation <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />i <br />! <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />The Silt Water Conservancy District operates a pump plant on the Colorado River to <br />deliver water to its Pump Canal, which serves ~gricultural users on the lower reaches of <br />I <br />Silt Mesa. The pump plant was built in the 19~O's and is located 2 miles east of the <br />Town of Silt. The current pumping plant has a tapacity of 36 cfs and delivers 4,000 acre- <br />feet per year. Excel Energy must replace the e~isting pump plant transformer due toan <br />upgrade of transmission line. Western Area POwer Administration will design the <br />project in 2003. The total project cost is anticip~ted at $550,000. Supply Irrigation Ditch Company - Knoth Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />The Supply Irrigation Ditch Company is proposing to rehabilitate the Knoth Reservoir <br />for use as an equalizer, and for storage under a ~onditional decree for 542 acre-feet.
