Project Type: Canal Rehabilitation <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />i <br />The Mancos Water Conservancy District supplies irrigation and municipal water within <br />I <br />a 13,496 acre service area. The District's carriage facility is over 50-years old and the <br />U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has recommended ~ehabilitation of the inlet and outlet <br />I <br />canals. The proposed project is to rehabilitateiinlet and outlet canals to the Jackson <br />Gulch Reservoir and to replace its operational Jhops and headquarters. The District's <br />I <br />goal is to have the entire project completed by f014. The District has performed test <br />sections with various lining materials to assist ih determining the final design package <br />I <br />for the ditch rehabilitation. Project construction on a small section of canal was <br />I <br />completed this summer. The District is currently in the process of asking the Federal <br />I <br />Appropriations Committee for $6,200,000 in grant funds to assist in completing the <br />I <br />project. Securing this grant is critical for the Di$trict, without the grant funds the District <br />will not be able to utilize the CWCB loan funds Ito complete the project. If the grant .. ~ <br />funds are secured the overall project is schedul~d for completion in January of 2014. <br />I <br />10. South Side Irrigation Company - Ditch Rehabilitation <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />Authorization: Construction Fund I County: Larimer - Near - Loveland <br />Water Source: South Platte River I Project Yield: 1,587 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $72,000 @ 3.10% for 30 yrs. i Project Type: Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This $80,000 project involves the rehabilitation df a number of hydraulic structures and <br />various piping along the South Side Ditch. The! overall ditch is approximately 11 miles <br />long and its headgate is located on the South PI~tte River. The pipe section within the <br />ditch was originally designed by Landmark Engineering, Loveland, Colorado and was <br />bid out in November of 2005. Given the high cdsts of the bids received, the designed <br />I <br />pipe section alternative to control seepage was changed to a liner. A 400-ft section of the <br />ditch lining project was completed in February df 2005. The Company has a remaining <br />800-ft section of ditch to line and a number of sJall concrete diversion structures to <br />I <br /> <br />replace. Project completion is scheduled for JUl1 of 2007. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />48 <br />
