CWCB <br /> <br />TO: Colorado Water Conservation Board Members <br /> <br />FROM: Bill Green 13 ~ <br />DATE: November 2, 1995 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item 18.d., November 6-7, 1995 Board Meeting, <br />Water Project, Construction Loan Program, Requests for Approval on <br />Loans for New and/or Revised Projects, Town of Minturn - Bolts Lake <br />Dam Rehab. <br /> <br />The Town of Minturn is intending to purchase and rehabilitate Bolts Lake and Bolts Ditch as <br />a water supply and recreational facility. (please see the attached project summary and map). <br />Currently the Town has very little raw water storage capacity and is concerned about having <br />adequate water supplies during the low-flow winter months as well as being able to provide <br />for future demands which are expected to increase substantially in the next few years. As of <br />the date of this memorandum, work on the draft feasibility study was still underway but' it <br />appears was as if the project will provide the Town with about 100 acre-feet of storage at a <br />cost of about $400,000 for the water supply aspects of the project. <br /> <br />No Board action is requested at this time.
