in the mid-1980's the District agreed to take on the duties associated with storm <br />water control. Additional information about the District is included below. <br />A. Type of organization and statues under which the entity was formed: Tbe <br />District is a Colorado Special District organized and existing pursuant to the <br />provisions of the Special District Act, Title 32, C.R.S. and its <br />governmental functions are subject to the revisions of Article X, Section 20, <br />of the Colorado Constitution. The District is a Quasi-Governmental body <br />and accordingly is not incorporated and does not maintain Articles of <br />Incorporation or By-laws. The District was formed in 1955 (Civil Action <br />case #SSCV 13027) in Weld County, Colorado, see Appendix 2. <br />B. Powers and authorities of the organization: The District maintains tbe <br />power and authority to administer, operate and maintain the storm water <br />collection and conveyance systems and the sanitary sewer collection, <br />conveyance and treatment system within the Existing Service Area <br />boundaries as shown on Figure 3 on the following page. The Dacono <br />Sanitation District maintains the power and authoriry to administer, operate <br />and maintain the sanitary sewer collection and conveyance systems <br />- predominately located immediately south of the Existing Service Area <br />boundaries as shown on Figure 3. The Dacono Sanitation District does not <br />handle storm water in the Dacono area, the City of Dacono does. <br />C. Duties and responsibilities of officers and directors: <br />Officers: Mr. Anthony Onorato, Jr. President <br />Mr. Mike Hattel Vice President <br />Ms. Gayle Niles Secretary/Treasurer <br />Directors: Mr. Anthony Onorato, Jr. Director Oversight <br />(Duties) Ms. Gayle Niles Drainage Oversight <br />Mr. Mike Hattel Office/Administration Oversight <br />Mr. Dennis Bertron Dacono Sanitation District Liaison <br />Mr. Roger Trujillo Operation/Maintenance Oversight <br />D. �iumber of District customers: <br />Towns of Frederick and Firestone, and the unincorporated area of Evanston <br />equal approximately 3,555 residents. <br />The City of Dacono equals approximately 3,132 residents. <br />The total tributary population equals approximately 6,687 residents. <br />: <br />
