Delivery: 436 acre-feet <br /> <br />CWCB Small Project Loan: $265,000 <br /> <br />Interest Rate: 2.80% <br /> <br />Term: 30 years <br /> <br />SCD & RC operates a system of reservoirs on Grand Mesa in Delta County, providing agricultural <br />irrigation water to 2384 acres in a.service area of 6000 acres in and around the town of Cedaredge. <br />Hotel Twin Reservoir and Dam is a Oass 1 Dam with a capacity of 549 acre-ft and a 35 acre <br />surface area. The dam height is 21.0 feet with a crest length 01.255 feet. The dam has a history of <br />seepage problems dating back to the early 1990's with several temporary repairs undertaken. <br />Following the end of the 2001 irrigation season SeD & RC initiated gee-technical investigations on <br />the dam. In January 2002, as a result of removal of the entire downstream shell of the <br />embankment, the SEO issued a zero storage restriction until all repairs are completed. Due to the <br />discovery of significant unsuitable material and voids, the dam is being rebuilt essentially from the <br />ground up, with a fairly typical dam rehabilitation design inthat it will include a chimney drain, <br />blanket drain and toe drain. The USFS has a road over the top of the dam that is being Widened <br />from 24' to 30 feet The existing outlet works is being retained but a new service spillway pipe (100- <br />year design) is being installed.
