Although the projections for population growth show the 60+ and 75+ age categories to remain relatively small portions of the ov eraU
population (see chart above), the projections do indicate that these tvvo age groups to become the fastest growing segments of the
population over the next several decades (see chart below).

These charts are both based on the population projections released by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Demography Section (see
table on opposite page).
