<br />Introduction <br />Great Westcrn Institute, the Colorado WaterWise Council, and Western Resource Advocates have prepared <br />this grant application for monies through the Watcr Efficiency Grant Fund created by HB 05-1254. Each of <br />our agcncics has a primary purpose to promote water conscn'ation and water usc efficiency. The proposed <br />project "Water Consen"ation and Water Use Efficiency Technical Support and Outreach" is dircctly linked <br />with the mission and statutory responsibilities of the Colorado \Vater Conservation Board ("Board") and its <br />OfTice of Watcr Conservation and Drought Planning ("O!Ticc"), and has bcen devcloped, in part, from our <br />team's extensivc knowledge of the policics, goals and needs of the Board and Office and through our <br />deliberate coordination in developing this project with the Office's future plans for education and outreach. <br />We recognize that execution of this proposed project can be satisfactorily performed only by <br />leveraging our close partnership with the Office and its available resources. <br />Noteworthy is that thc proposed projcct has also bcen developed with close coordination and input from our <br />projcct stakeholders that will bc providing support (e.g., cash, in-kind scrviccs, othcr support) during the <br />execution of this project. Our project stakeholders include: <br />Boulder, City of <br />Denver Watcr <br />Grand Junction, City of <br />Pagosa Arca Watcr and Sanitation District <br />San Juan Water Conservancy District <br />San Juan Citizens Alliance <br />La Junta, City of <br />Greeley, City of <br />Southeastcrn Colorado Water Conscrvancv District <br />j <br />The breadth and cluality of thc support that is representcd by this stakeholdcr list is a strong indication of the <br />need for this project and the need for this project to be funded by CWCB under the Watcr Efficiency Grant <br />program. <br />Our proposal includes: <br />Project Summary <br />Project Background <br />Program Approach and Scope of 'vVork <br />Mctrics to Evaluate Project Succcss <br />Role of the O!Tice <br />Tcam Overview <br />Budget <br />Schedule <br />We thank the CWCB and thc OfTice for considering this proposal and we appreciate the time and energy that <br />staff and the Boardmembcrs spend in revicwing and evaluating our application. <br />2 <br />
