The diversion structure has been maintained
peacemeal with numerous materials.

Upstream Configuration: There is a check board diversion with steel wingwalls across the north
branch of the Conejos River. The diversion directs water to the headgate of the Santiago Ditch
located on the south bank of the river. There is a log trash boom along the front of the headgate.

Comments: The Santiago Ditch headgate is considered one of the most dilapidated structures on
the Conejos River. The timber structure is very old and weathered. It has a Parshall flume
downstream for flow measurement. The Santiago Ditch is a priority 16.

Estimated Range of Cost: Medium

F :\Projects \20060507\Documents \Reports \Conejos \1 nventory Forms \Santiago Ditch .doc

OA No. 2-2006-0507
