High Creek Flow
Poor ~ Yes LC:,J

Repair(s) Needed: The headgate yoke is bent, and the slide gate needs to be removed and
replaced.

Upstream Configuration: There is a rock diversion dam that diverts flow along the creek to the
headgate, which sits along the south bank of the creek.

Comments: There are steel posts next to the headgate holding up steel plates that were installed to
help prevent further erosion around the headgate. This structure diverts water off of the La Jara
Creek. The downstream flow measurement device is a 2' wide Parshall flume.

Estimated Range of Cost: Low

F:\Projects\20060507\Documents\Reports\Alamosa\lnventory Forms\Garcia Ditch #1 (La Jara Creek).doc

OA No. 2-2006-0507
