The dry stacked <br />rock headwall is being eroded along the edges. Downstream flow measurement device is outdated. <br />Structure does not have an operable diversion dam. <br /> <br />Upstream Configuration: A short feeder ditch comes off of the river and directs flow to the <br />headgate, which sits on the south bank of the Rio Grande River. <br /> <br />Comments: There is a downstream flow measurement device that consists of a weir and corrugated <br />steel sheetpile divider. There used to be a log spanning the main channel that was used as a <br />channel diversion to direct water into the feeder channel. According to the water commissioner, the <br />owner would like to transfer the water rights for this ditch to the Weiss Ditch.
