The headgate is on the north side of the road on the north side of the river. Latitude Longitude Section N37004'47.2" W105053'15.5" SW1/4 S21 Township T33N Range R10E Location: Type: Manually operated 4' wide steel slide gate Good ~ Condition: Fair D Submerged: Poor D Repair(s) Needed: None No D Yes ~ Reason Submerged: High River Flows Upstream Configuration: There is a dam across the river just downstream of this structure that stops the river flow completely, except for minor seepage through the dam that continues downstream. The headgate is situated on the north bank of the river. Comments: This structure diverts water from the south channel of the San Antonio River. The Braiden Overflow Ditch #3 is on the opposite side of the river, and all river flow that reaches this area is split between the two headgates. The headgate looks like it is fairly new construction.
