The SWCD and the ALPWCD encourage the State to promptly engage in discussions with the
United States to enter into a contract td purchase all or a portion of Colorado's share of ALP
Project water. Funds paid to the Unite1d States now would help keep the ALP Project on its
construction schedule, save substantial iax dollars on a later purchase, and meet your goal of
securing domestic and municipal water for Colorado through storage currently under
construction. !
