This has made it
easier to track contracts, invoices and payments.

19B

General Hydrology Support - Grand Junction CRFP should transfer historic data
reduction to FWS Division of Water Resources so that the backlog can be cleaned
up and the data can be added to the riverdata web page.

CAP 27

Ruedi Reservoir Water Lease - Submit bill on time.

85D

Real-time Sediment Monitoring - At the recommendation of the Recovery
Program Staffthis project was terminated at the end ofFY 2003. This
recommendation was discussed at a Biology Committee meeting in October of
2003 and the Committee recommended that a report be developed to summarize
the work accomplished and document the study results. The concluding report
will be completed by February 28, 2004. No additional funds will be need to
complete the project report.

86

Peer Review of Geomorphology Related Work - Reviews are recommended by
the Principal Investigator or Program Director's Office and approved by the
Program Director's Office on an as-needed basis. Criteria for selection as a
reviewer is similar to the criteria used by the Biology Committee. The Principal
Investigator is responsible for securing comments from individuals he/she
suggested.

Project 107: Gunnison River / Aspinall Unit Temperature Model: Phase II

Final Phase II report still pending.

Project 115: Cumulative Effects of Flaming Gorge Dam Releases, since 1996, on the Fish
Community in Lodore and Whirlpool canyons, Green River

Based on new findings about invasive non-native fishes such as smallmouth bass and red shiners,
we recommend continuing this work for an additional 2-3 years. Continued sampling is needed
to better understand effects oflow, warm flows on the fish community, so that we can make the
best assessment of effects of Flaming Gorge flow and temperature regimes. In particular,
continued electro fishing sampling would provide additional information on the large-bodied fish
community, which was limited in 2002 due to technical problems with electro fishing gear.
Continued sampling also is recommended to follow the invasion of smallmouth bass in the river
and begin to document effects ofthat species on the native fish community of that portion of the
Green River.

2003 ReDort Recommendations.
