OOQG49

EXPLANATION OF TABLE 1

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This table summarizes Blue River Basin water into the 1929 and
1948 water rights. The 1929 right is equal to 2/3 of the water taken from the Hoosier Diversions
when both the 1929 and 1949 rights are in priority and being diverted. The 1948 right is equal to
Hoosier Tunnel less 2/3 of the Hoosier Tunnel plus the Upper Blue storage change. Beginning of
the year and end of the year reservoir levels for Montgomery and Upper Blue are recorded.

Column 1 :

SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION

Total Hoosier Creek Diversions measured directly at the Hoosier Diversion point.

Column 2:

Column 3:

Column 4:

Column 5:

Column 6:

Column 7:

Column 8:

Column 9:

Column 10:

1948 Hoosier Creek Diversions are calculated by taking Column 1 less Column 3.

1929 Hoosier creek Diversions are calculated by taking 2/3 of the total Hoosier
Creek Diversions when both the 1929 and 1948 rights are in priority or the entire
flow when only the 1929 rights are in priority. The flow is divided at the point of
diversion.

1948 Blue River Diversions are measured at the point of diversion only when the
1948 rights are in priority.

Upper Blue storage change. Positive storage changes indicate 1948 diversions.

Net Blue River Diversions. This column is the sum of Column 4 plus Column 5.
Includes any releases from storage back to the river.

Spruce, McCullough and Crystal Diversions are measured at the Combination
Tunnel prior to flowing through the Hoosier Tunnel.

Hoosier Tunnel, these flows are measured at Hoosier Tunnel and include Hoosier
Creeks, Blue River, Spruce Creek, McCullough Creek and Crystal Creek.

The 1929 rights are the same as Column 3, 2/3 of the Hoosiers.

This column is equal to Column 8 less Column 9 plus Column 5.

NOTE: Columns 9 and 10 will not equal Column 8 due to Upper Blue storage changes-
1948 diversions are recorded when water Is stored In the Upper Blue and not when water Is
transferred through the tunnel.
