UHJ538

they had heard "a lot" about the project. It appears that newspapers, television and
CDOW information offer the best avenues for improving western slope warmwater
anglers knowledge and information about such recovery efforts and fishery
management projects like reclaiming and restocking ponds.

From the CDOW's viewpoint, the fact that 92% of warmwater anglers think it is
somewhat or very important to have warmwater fishing opportunities within an hour
drive of their home, that 36% are currently dissatisfied with current opportunities, and
that 16 % would consider not buying a fishing license with fewer warmwater
opportunities is ample incentive to continue efforts to manage waters for warmwater
fishing in the upper Colorado Basin.

LITERATURE CITED

1.
