Aspinall Unit Operations <br /> <br />Dear Interested Party: <br /> <br />Enclosed is a summary of the Junel3, 2002, meeting to coordinate Reclamation's operation of <br />the Aspinall Unit. Highlights of the operation meeting include: ' <br /> <br />-Based on the June 1 forecast, April-July inflow to Blue Mesa is predicted to be 180,000 <br />acre-feet or 25 percent of normal. By comparison, 1977 April-July inflow was 168,000. The <br />180,000 prediction may be high based on weather patterns since June 1. <br /> <br />-An agreement has been reached between organizations concerning Redland Water and <br />Power diversions and Redland fish ladder endangered fish flows. This should conserve Blue <br />Mesa storage. Gunnison Gorge flows are now 560 cfs and may reach the 800 cfs range this <br />summer. <br /> <br />-An environmental assessment has been released on Morrow Point Dam trash rack <br />cleaning. <br /> <br />If you have any suggestions on improving the operation meetings or the summaries ofthe <br />meetings, please let us know.
