<br />-don't reinvent the wheel on water education. Work to have a <br />cohesive water education program (2 participants) <br />-bring more water education providers into effort <br />-identify how water education fits with other disciplines <br />-identify how to fund effort <br />-find out what teachers need rather than what we can give them <br />-water is great way to teach science and geography content <br />-include role of forests in watershed protection (example Frasier <br />experimental forest). Curriculum such as Project Learning Tree <br />can address this. <br />-have regular water education update (e.g. newsletter, website) <br />-have user friendly water education materials <br />-need more interactive watershed curriculum <br />-coordinator could help providers find local contacts . <br />-need continual source of funding for water education <br />-help advertise water education programs <br /> <br />10 <br />
