The application is attached for your review. <br />The City of Fort Lupton has a legal obligation to supply, distribute, and provide water at retail to domestic, industrial, and <br />public facility customers. The City provides 2921,2 acre/feet of water annually to 7,324 citizens, approximately 30 <br />commercial, and 15 industrial users. The City is committed to incorporating the following goals into their Water <br />Conservation Plan: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />To educate <br />To enforce watering restrictions <br />To investigate programs such as rebates for low-flow devices <br />To reduce per capita usage to approximately 125-130 gpcd. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The City of Fort Lupton currently has a plan on file with the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), but it does <br />not comply with the 2004 revised statute S 37-60-126 C.R.S. The City is in the process of applying for a loan from the <br />CWCB, and in order to be eligible, they must have an updated Water Conservation Plan. The applicant is requesting <br />$38,250 to aid in updating their Water Conservation Plan. The Plan will be developed in accordance with the CWCB's <br />Water Conservation Plan Development Guidance Document. The guidance document will serve as a framework for the <br />Plan's organization and content. The applicant has demonstrated their financial ability to provide 25% of the project <br />budget with matching funds in the form of in-kind services, Staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant proposal. <br />Attached is the internal checklist used to evaluate the application as well as the application evaluation criteria. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />The OWCDP staff recommends that Rod Kuharich, Director, award a Water Conservation Planning grant in the amount <br /> <br /> <br />~~:::::::~he Ciry Of(9tO;7)~ Water CPPL <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
