<br />j~ <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Project Title: "Flood Warning Needs Definition Study for Cherry Creek and Plum <br />Creek" <br /> <br />Date: February 26, 2004 <br /> <br />Objective: The purposes of this work is to provide assistance for a joint effort to define <br />flood warning needs for Douglas County in the Plum Creek and Cherry Creek <br />watersheds. <br /> <br />Performance Period: This scope is valid for services performed during the period from <br />March 1, 2004 to June 30, 2004. <br /> <br />Funds Recipient: The work will be administered by the Douglas County Public Works <br />Department (County). The CWCB's funding for this project is $10,000. An additional <br />$60,000 will be provided for the project by other agencies, including Douglas County, the <br />Town of Parker, the Town of Castle Rock, and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District. <br /> <br />Summary of Requested Work: For the above-mentioned objective, specific duties to <br />be performed are as follows: <br /> <br />1) Conduct kickoff meeting <br />2) Conduct In-person interviews with various agencies <br />3) Develop inventory of agencies interviewed in Task 2 to identify and document <br />flood hazards and agency capabilities and communication procedures <br />4) Identify and review of any hydrologic and hydraulic studies performed for the <br />project area <br />5) Perform Hood event exercise <br />6) Prepare a draft report identifying the results of the agency interviews, Hood event <br />exercise, and other information obtained in Tasks 1-5. When tasks 1-5 are <br />complete the CWCB will Pay Douglas Co. $5,000. <br />7) In the draft report, identify and summarize existing studies and make <br />recommendations for any needs to better understand the Hooding characteristics <br />of the watercourses and associated drainage basins <br />8) Perform quality control and quality assurance on the draft report identified in <br />Tasks 6 and 7. When tasks 6 and 7 are complete the CWCB will pay Douglas Co. <br />$5,000. <br />9) Conduct a public meeting for the purpose of providing necessary information <br />relating to the project to the public <br /> <br />Completion of W ork/Payment Schedule: <br />Funds will be provided on a time and materials basis to the County for project activities <br />upon receipt of invoice. In the event the project is not invoiced prior to June 30, 2004, <br />funds will be returned in their entirety to CWCB. <br /> <br />. I <br />
