PROJECT PARTICIPANTS

Upper Yampa Water Conservancy
District: The District was formed in
1966 to develop, store and transport
water to meet the municipal, irriga-
tionand industrial needs of local
water users. It is a quasi-municipal
sub-districT of the State of Colorado.
The district's first dam, Yamcolo Res-
ervoir on the Yampa River was com-
pleted in 1980. Headquartered in
Steamboat Springs, the District is gov-
erned by a nine-member board and en-
compasses all of Routt and portions of
Moffet Counties, Colorado.

Woodward-Clyde Consultants:
Woodward-Clyde Consultants is an
international professional services
firm of consulting engineers, geolo-
gists and environmental scientists.
Founded in 1950, the firm has 28
offices nationwide. Other notable
RCC projects with which Woodward-
Clyde Consultants has been involved
include the strengthening ofGibraIter
. Dam, a concrete-arch dam near Santa
Barbara, California; Concepcion
. Dam, a proposed water supply project
- in Honduras and the first application
ofRCC in Central America; and Harris
Park Dam, an over-the-dam spillway
rehabilitation project near Bailey,
Colorado.

Tudor Engineering Company:
Tudor Engineering Company has been
engaged in the planning and design of
dams and hydroelectric power plants
for more than 30 years. The com-
pany's experience in the design of
dams and spillways includes modifica-
tions to existing dams, as well as new
structures, such as the recent design
of the Leroy Anderson Dam outlet
works design and spillway rehabilita-
tion in California. Experience also in-
cludes the New Exchequer Dam in
California, a 490,foot high concrete
faced rockfill dam. In the past ten
years, Tudor Engineering has designed
26 hydroelectric plants ranging in size
from 400 to 36,000 KW

ASI RCC, Inc.: ASI RCC was
formed in 1987 out of AS! of Buena
Vista, Colorado. The new company
was formed to concentrate on roller-
compacted concrete construction.
They have been involved in RCC
since 1984 with construction of
Middle Fork Dam in Colorado. Since
then, AS! has constructed Grindstone
RCC Dam in.New Mexico and Lower
Chase Creek RCC Dam in Arizona.
AS! successfully constructed one of
the first RCC dams ever built and has
since been a leader in perfecting the
equipment and technology required
for this type of project.
