The District has paid 809,592.24 during the 10 year period <br />ending December 31, 1994, leaving a balance due of $5,626,007.76 over the <br />rema.ining 60 years of the repayment period. Assuming equal annual payments of <br />$93,166.80 for the next 60 years at a discount rate of 7.375 percent, the <br />discounted value 1s SI,253,627.50. <br /> <br />Reclamation does not have authority to discount future payments for prepayment <br />of contractual obligations.
