The average annual volume diverted is 80 acre-feet. The District <br />operates wells and a distribution system and supplies water to 111 customers for municipal use <br />within the 514-acre service area. The existing Arapahoe aquifer well is poorly designed with <br />maintenance and replacement costs averaging $10,000 per year. The District plans to replace it <br />with a new well The Silver Heights Water and Sanitation District a quasi-governmental political <br />subdivision of the State of Colorado and a Special District in Douglas County, Colorado. Tom <br />Hatton P.E. of Hatton Water Consultants Inc. has drafted the feasibility study.
