The diversion is <br />located on the Roaring Fork River, about 2 miles north of Carbondale and the delivery system <br />consists of open ditch and siphon pipe. The diversion has been rehabilitated, but 2,000 feet of the <br />siphon is in poor condition and needs to be rehabilitated starting in fall 2002. The year 2000 <br />volume diverted was 6,600 acre-feet. The Glenwood Irrigation Company is a mutual ditch <br />company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. The Company's <br />engineer has completed preliminary plans and specifications for the project and the Company <br />has completed the feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCB Small <br />Project Loan for $386,000, a $15,000 grant from the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />District, and the remainder from the Company. <br /> <br /> <br />.
