<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Feas1bility of Construction <br />of the <br />Stieb Brothers Recharge Project <br /> <br />Project Sponsor <br /> <br />Stieb Brothers lnc, is a privately incorporated farm located in <br />Northeastern Colorado, see Appendix A for articles of <br />incorporation, Stieb Brothers lnc, is solely controlled and <br />operated by the Stieb family. <br /> <br />Stieb Brothers has approximately 723 acres of sprinkler irrigated <br />farm ground, The ground is solely irrigated with 5 tributary <br />groundwater wells, without any ditch water, The wells pump on <br />average 1400 acre-feet of water annually, The water is typically <br />used to irrigate corn, alfalfa, beans, and wheat, The 5 wells are <br />currently augmented under the Groundwater Appropriators of the <br />South Platte (GASP) plan of operation, see Appendix B for 2002 <br />GASP records, <br /> <br />Project Service Area <br /> <br />The service area, or the Stieb Brother farm, is located in Logan <br />County, approximately 10 miles Northeast of Sterling, Colorado, <br />The Stieb Brother farm is located on the South side of the South <br />Platte River, The 723 acres of the farm are located across 3 <br />different sections of land, See the map on page 3, <br /> <br />Feasibility Study <br />Stieb Brothers Inc. <br />Recharge Project <br />February 2003 <br /> <br />1 <br />
