BE GRANTED AUTHORITY TO ACCEPT GRANTS FROM <br />THE ENERGY IMPACT ASSISTANCE FUND OF THE STATE OF COLORADO IN THE <br />PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $175,000.00; AND FROM THE KATER <br />CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT OF THE STATE OF COLORADO IN THE AMOUNT NOT <br />TO EXCEED $100,000.00 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN UNDERGROUND, LOW- <br />PRESSURE IRRIGATION SYSTEM? <br /> <br />TO THE CITIZENS OF SILT <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF STATEMENTS IN FAVOR OF BALLOT QUESTION 2-B: This ballot <br />question asks voter permission to accept a $175,000 grant already <br />offered by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for the purpose <br />of installing. and maintaining .the underground, low-pressure, <br />untreated irrigation system proposed to augment the town's treated <br />water, This grant will supplement the 1\ Use Tax increase passed <br />by Silt voters i1?- the April, 1994 municipal election for the <br />irrigation system, This irrigation system would ma~e it possible <br />for individual homeowners to water their lawns and gardens with <br />untreated water at a much reduced rate than what they are now <br />paying for treated water to irrigate, At the same time, the <br />domestic water system would be able to meet the demands made upon <br />it by a growing community, <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF STATEMENTS AGAINST BALLOT QUESTION 2-B: No statements <br />against this question were received. <br /> <br />Silt Town Clerk Charlene Springsteel <br /> <br />PAl <br />'IN<F <br /> <br /> <br />.......-. <br />
