<br />e e <br />SUMMARY OF PROPOSED PROJECT <br /> <br />Project Sponsor: City of Loveland <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Project Name: Green Ridge Glade Reservoir <br /> <br />Type of Project: Municipal and Agricultural <br /> <br />Location: About seven miles west of Loveland in Larimer County (see attached map) <br /> <br />Date of Application: December 26, 1996 <br /> <br />Planning Studies Submitted to Date: Phase I - Drought Study, August 1986; Phase /1- <br />Evaluation of Alternatives, January 1988; Engineering Evaluation, Green Ridge Glade <br />Reservoir Enlargement, March 1996 <br /> <br />Project Description: The City of Loveland is proposing to expand it's existing Green <br />Ridge Glade Reservoir from a capacity of 600 acre-feet to 6,000 acre-feet for municipal <br />and agricultural water supplies. The project will include raising the existing earth <br />embankment dam and replacing the existing intake tower, outlet works, and spillway as <br />well as relocating an existing county road in the reservoir area. The City hopes to begin <br />construction in the year 2000. Water to be stored in the reservoir will come from the <br />City's water rights holdings on the Big Thompson River and the City's shares in the <br />Colorado Big Thompson Project and the Windy Gap Project <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Estimated Cost: In excess of $17.0 million <br /> <br />Requested Loan: $2.0 million in 1997.
