Feas1bility of Construction
of the
Glenn Toyne Recharge Project

Project Sponsor

Glenn Toyne is the owner and operator of a private farm located
in Northeastern Colorado. Glenn Toyne farms next to his father
and his brother. Glenn Toyne has chosen to include their need for
augmentation in with his own project. From this point on any
mention of the Glenn Toyne farm will also include the acres found
under his father's farm and brother's farm.

The Toyne farm has approximately 517 acres of sprinkler and flood
irrigated farm ground. The ground is irrigated with 8 tributary
groundwater wells and some ditch water out of the Julesburg
Irrigation District. The wells pump on average 1100 acre-feet of
water annually. The water is typically used to irrigate corn,
alfalfa, beans, and wheat. The 8 wells are currently augmented
under the Groundwater Appropriators of the South Platte (GASP)
plan of operation, see Appendix A for 2002 GASP records.

Project Service Area

The service area, or the Toyne farm, is located in Sedgwick
County, approximately 14 miles Southwest of Julesburg, Colorado.
The Toyne farm is located on both the South side and North side
of the South Platte River. The 517 acres of the farm are located
across 3 different sections of land. See the map on page 3.

Feasibility Study
Glenn Toyne
Recharge Project
February 2003

1
