<br />Feasibility of Construction <br />of the <br />Victor Quint Augmentation Project <br /> <br />Project Sponsor <br /> <br />Victor Quint is the owner and operator of a private farm located <br />in Northeastern Colorado. The Quint farm has approximately 740 <br />acres of sprinkler and flood irrigated farm ground. The ground is <br />irrigated with 4 tributary groundwater wells and direct flow <br />water out of the Lower Platte and Beaver Canal Company and the <br />Johnson and Edwards Ditch Company. The wells pump on average 1000 <br />acre-feet of water annually, The water is typically used to <br />irrigate corn, alfalfa, beans, and wheat. The 4 wells are <br />currently augmented under the Groundwater Appropriators of the <br />South Platte (GASP) plan of operation, see Appendix A for 2002 <br />GASP records, <br /> <br />Project Service Area <br /> <br />The service area, or the Quint farm, is located in Morgan and <br />Washington Counties, approximately 4 miles Northeast of Hillrose, <br />Colorado, The Quint farm is located on the South side of the <br />South Platte River, The 740 acres of the farm are located across <br />several different sections of land, See the map on page 3, <br /> <br />Feasibility Study <br />Victor Quint <br />Aug Project <br />July 2003 <br /> <br />1 <br />
