Economic Analysis
The outside economic impact from the proj ect is small, but not insignificant. Many
services benefit from the ranch remaining in operations, such as: veterinarians, medical
suppliers, equipment dealers and repair shops, fertilizer and seed suppliers, and others.
Social and Physical Impacts
There are no social impacts to the project. Management of the land through proper
irrigation, crop, and weed management will enhance the long term productivity of the
land for many generations.
Conclusion
• The scope of the project is consistent with the type of agricultural projects funded
by the Colorado Water Conservation Boards Construction Loan Program.
• The project allows the ranch to utilize its full water right potential in a manner
that is cost effective, while maximizing the irrigation potential of the two center
pivots.
• The ranch has no other financing alternative to construct the proj ect.
• The increased production in the irrigation water will greatly assist the ranch in
generating a yearly productive hay crop, which will help ensure the longevity of
the ranch.
• The project is technically and financially feasible.
12
