Inc. Augmentation Project <br /> <br />Project Sponsor <br /> <br />Smart Bros. Inc. (SBI) is a family owned and operated farming and <br />custom cattle feeding corporation in Northeastern Colorado. The <br />three Smart brothers control the business, Austin, Garrett and <br />Carson. The SBI farm consists of approximately 1250 acres of <br />sprinkler and flood irrigated farm ground and an 8000 head <br />feedlot operation. The SBI farm ground is irrigated with direct <br />flow water, reservoir water and 9 tributary groundwater wells. <br />The water is typically used to irrigate corn, alfalfa, beans, and <br />wheat. The feedlot has water provided by 3 additional commercial <br />wells. The total 12 wells are currently augmented under the Logan <br />Well Users (LWU) plan of operation. <br /> <br />Project Service Area <br /> <br />The service area of the SBI farm is located in Logan County, <br />covering numerous sections of ground south and west of Atwood, <br />Colorado.
