ARAPAHOE COUNTY WATER AND WASTEWATER AUTHORITY

additional reductions in average day water demand by further modifying rate structures (i.e.
Irvine Ranch Model).

Water Conservation Plan Implementation

The implementation of the measures and programs will be spread throughout the 10 year
planning period of this Water Conservation Plan. Measures and programs will be phased in order
to spread out the capital costs and increased administrative efforts required for the projects.

The measures and programs outlined in this plan will be monitored for their water savings and
associated costs. This data will be collected annually so that the programs effectiveness can be
tracl(ed.

The Authority intends to update the plan, at a minimum, every 7 years and will update the plan
when significant changes occur to the system. When updating the plan the Authority will
examine the costs and benefits of the measures and programs that were implemented in the
previous plan. The Authority will also have the opportunity to add additional water saving
measures and programs.

Monitor, Evaluate and Revise Conservation Activities

Implementation of the Water Conservation Plan is a long term activity that involves continual
evaluation and refinement of the plan. The Water Conservation Plan will begin to be
implemented following adoption by the ACWW A Board, and will be implemented in general
conformance with the l(ey activities identified in this report.

Richard P.
