5. Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed project including purpose, need,
facilities, types of water uses to be served and service area. (Attach separate sheet, if needed.):

We are planning to build a comprehensive raw water distribution system for the town of Ridgway.
However, this loan application reflects only the costs of the first phase of the project-i.e. piping the
water 1.34 miles (585 vertical foot drop) down a hill from our treatment facility reservoirs into
town and on to an 18 acre park facility. By October 2000 we intend to have a number of playing
fields on this 18 acre parcel and irrigating this much land with treated water is impossible. Once a
raw water line is established to town we will be able to expand the system to residential areas and
other parks. When the system is built-out we expect that it will effectively reduce consumption of
treated water by at least 15% and consequently delay treatment system expansion by several years.

Water Right-LCFS.

Average water diverted per year 122.7 Acre-feet.

6. Will the acquisition of additional water rights be necessary?
YES NOX-.., If "YES", please explain:

7. Please list the names and addresses of any technical or legal consultants retained to represent the
applicant or to conduct investigations for the proposed project:

ADDRESS and PHONE

NAME

Joanne Fagan
Town Engineer

PO Box 738
Delta. List any feasibility studies or other investigations that have been completed or are now in progress
for the proposed project. (Please submit one copy of each completed study with this application):

A preliminary feasibility study will be submitted by September 15. 1999. A comprehensive study
will be submitted after that study has been reviewed and commented upon.

9. What is the estimated cost of the project?
