<br />Senate passed S. 2735, to amend the National Dam Safety Program Act to reauthorize the
<br />national dam safety program, after agreeing to the committee amendment in the nature of a

<br />National Integrated Drought Information System Act
<br />Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation was discharged from further
<br />consideration of H.R. 5136, to establish a National Integrated Drought Information System within
<br />the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to improve drought monitoring and
<br />forecasting capabilities, and the bill was then passed, clearing the measure for the President. (See
<br />p. SI1391, CR, December 6,2006.)

<br />Watershed Restoration
<br />Senate passed S. 2003, to make permanent the authorization for watershed restoration and
<br />enhancement agreements, after agreeing to the committee amendment in the nature of a substitute.

<br />Rural Water Supply Act
<br />Senate concurred in the House amendments to S. 895, to authorize the Secretary of the
<br />Interior to carry out a rural water supply program in the Reclamation States to provide a clean, safe,

<br />pp. S 11831-36, CR, December 8, 2006.)

<br />More Water and More Energy Act
<br />The House agreed to suspend the rules and pass H.R. 5110, amended, to facilitate the use of
<br />irrigation and other purposes of water produced in connection with development of energy

<br />Rural Water Supply Act of 2005
<br />The House agreed to suspend the rules and pass S. 895, amended, to direct the Secretary of
<br />the Interior to establish a rural water supply program in the Reclamation States to provide a clean,
<br />safe, affordable and reliable water supply to rural residents.
<br />Agreed to amend the title so as to read: "To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to carry
<br />out a rural water supply program in the Reclamation States to provide a clean, safe, affordable, and
<br />reliable water supply to rural residents.". (See pp. H8846-51, CR, December 6,2006.)
