Table 2 shows that the summer/winter flow recommendation of 1.0 cfs is only available at least
50% of the time from May 1 st through October 31 st. The summer/winter flow recommendation
was further reduced to 0.4 cfs for the time period of November 1st through April 30th based on
limited water availability.

Precipitation Data
Staff reviewed local precipitation data sets from 2 different sites located around the Tunnel
Gulch Drainage (see Precipitation Data in Appendix C). These sites include Twin Lakes and
Sugarloaf Reservoir. Table 3 shows the water year and the percent of average precipitation
recorded at each site.

Table 3: Precipitation Data as a percentage of Average.

Elevation = 9300 Elevation = 10000
Lat 39 05 00 Lat 39 1 5 00
Long 106 1900 Long 106 22 00
Year Twin Lakes Sugarloaf Reservoir
1947 ?
1948 ?
1949 ? 123%
1950 81% 137%
1951 129% 144%
1952 133% 106%
1953 55% 85%
1954 16% 86%
1955 131% 117%
1956 74% 118%
1957 117% 162%
1958 ? 106%
1959 71% 146%
1960 73% 95%
1961 120% 133%
1962 67% 96%
1963 92% 124%
1964 88% 140%
1965 116% 137%
1966 84% 91%
1967 106% 116%
1968 91% 30%
1969 143% ?
1970 113% ?
1971 96% 30%
1972 74% 105%
1973 80% 89%
1974 70% 104%
1975 69% 115%
1976 ? 89%
1977 ? 87%

- 5 -
