The bulk of this storage is
decreed to Denver Water.

This inventory of water rights for direct diversion to storage or diversion to storage in Chatfield
Reservoir by exchange was used to develop estimates of potential inflow for the reallocated
storage space. Lack of senior direct flow rights indicate that diversions to storage in Chatfield
under a reallocation scenario would likely be performed under a junior water right, or "free
river" conditions. Potential inflow under this type of water right is further discussed in Section 5.

P :\Data \GEN\CWCB\Chatfie ld\Report 12 .02\RevisedChatReport 1 03\Report2-03 .doc

8
