Create a process to inform.. .and educate the public on the IBeC's activities and progress of the interbasin compact negotiations Communicate to the general public about the vision and the mechanics of the HB1177 process, and its relevance to them Inform the public, especially the "water interested" public, about IBCC and basin roundtable meetings, committee opportunities, educational programs PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Encourage participation of ALL the public, not just special interest groups. Increase participation by younger people and those not necessarily represented by the roundtables, including those not part of any traditional water related or anization Create a process to... involve the public (in) the IBCC's activities and progress of the interbasin compact negotiations Create a mechanism by which public input and feedback can be relayed to the I BCC and compact negotiators. 1. Work through (do not duplicate work of) groups who already are doing water education throughout the state including, but not limited to: Colorado Foundation for Water Education Colorado Water Congress Water conservancy, conservation districts Colorado Watershed Assembly Conservation/Environmental organizations Agricultural organizations Universities Fed/State/Local a encies Work on this will be forthcoming-"second stage"-after we have made substantial progress on the public education aspects of our work as shown above.
