Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed study or demonstration project including <br />purpose, need, and service area. (Attach scope of study, if available) <br /> <br />The USGS, Colorado Water Science Center would like to conduct and publish a detailed <br />analysis of snowpack melt timing, streamflow runoff timing, and trends in monthly air <br />temperature and precipitation in high-elevation areas in Colorado. The objective is to <br />document recent trends in snowmelt and runoff timing, and to quantify how those parameters <br />are affected by changing climate to better understand implications to Colorado water resources. <br /> <br />Please see attached document for additional details. <br /> <br />2 <br />
