This study will focus on existing literature that address
the configuration, hydrologic properties, water levels, and water quality of the aquifers.

Scope-of work:
. Conduct literature research for existing published studies and investigations
. Identify other sources of ground water data (government agencies, water districts,
consultants, etc.)
. Acquire copies of published and non-published and/or non-public studies
. Create a GIS-compatible, hydrologic database of available studies and data
. Digitize/geo-reference location of study area and/or data source
. Identify links to web-enabled digital data sources
. Physically catalogue collected information within the CGS library
. Create GIS coverage to identify location, type, and source of data available within the
Arkansas River basin.

Deliverable: GIS-compatible, hydrologic database and shapefiles that catalogue and display
available studies and data for the Arkansas River basin alluvial and bedrock aquifers. Product
will allow user to focus in on an area of interest and identify the hydrologic data available by
geographic reference, type of data, and source of data. This database will be visualized through
an interactive, GIS map-based product with references to available hydrologic studies and data. .
The delivery fomlat will be conducive to web implementation.

Cost: $40,000.

Timeline: July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008

.

2
