<br />. <br /> <br />Article 60 of title 37. Colorado Revised Statutes, IS amended BY THE <br />ADDITION OF THE FOLLOWING NEW SECTIO~S to read: <br /> <br />37.60-12".1. Stream ~a~e fund - created. There is hereby created in the state <br />treasury the stream gage fund. refcrred to in this section as the "gage fund". The state <br />treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer 1'0\'0 hundred fifty three hundred <br />thousand dollars from pre\'iously appropriated Colorado waler conservation hoard <br />construction fund moneys to the 232(' fund. The moneys in the gage fund are hereby <br />continuously appropriated to the Board for satellite monitoring and data collection <br />eITons related to in.stream flow monitoring. compact protection. decision support <br />systems, and flood forecasting and warning projects. In addition to any remaining <br />balance in the gage fund at the end of any fiscal year. the Colorado water conservation <br />board is hereby authorized. from the water conservation board construction fund. to <br />annually provide up to two ',"ndred fifty three hundred thousand dollars (5300.000), in <br />order to restore the balance in the gage fund to two hundred filly three hundred <br />thousand dollars ($300.000). All interest derived from the investment of moneys in the <br />gage fund shall be credited to the Colorado water conservation board construction fund. <br />The board shall review the purposes of this fund annually and is hereby authorized to <br />cease providing moneys in the following year, if in its discretion, the board detennines <br />the purposes for which this fund is established have ceased. The board may set tenns <br />and conditions as it deems appropriate concerning the annual expenditures of moneys. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />37-60-12....2. Satellite monitorin~ fund - crealed. There is hereby created in <br />the state treasury the satellite monitoring fund . referred to in this section as the <br />"satellite fund". The state treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer three <br />hundred fifty thousand dollars from the Colorado water conservation board construction <br />fund to the satellite fund. The moneys in the satellite fund are hereby continuously <br />appropriated to the Board for allocation to the division of water resources for the <br />maintenance of the satellite monitoring system established and operated pursuant to <br />section 37-80-102(10), Colorado Revised Statutes. In addition to any remaining balance <br />in the satellite fund at the end of any fiscal year, the Colorado water conservation board <br />is hereby authorized, from the water conservation board construction fund. to annually <br />provide up to three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000), in order to restore the <br />balance in the satellite fund to three hundred fifty thousand dollars (5350.000). All <br />interest derived from the investment of moneys in the satellite fund shall be credited to <br />the Colorado water conservation board construction fund. The board shall review the <br />purposes of this fund annually and is hereby authorized to cease providing moneys in the <br />following year. ifin its discretion, the board determines the purposes for which this fund <br />is established have ceased. The board may set terms and conditions as it deems <br />appropriate concerning the annual expenditures of moneys. <br /> <br />. <br />
