The Colorado Salinity Control Program <br />· Arkansas River Compact <br /> <br />Pro actively seek resolution of compact interpretations of disputed issues and interactions <br />with federal law. <br /> <br />Ensure timely and effective deliberations occur regarding applications for Recreational <br />In-channel Diversion water rights and deliver findings of fact concerning the maximum <br />utilization of water. compact entitlements and iniury to instream flow water rights and <br />submit these findings to water courts. <br /> <br />~~~:~1~~~ri~r~~~J~ioire~~::a~ft~~~'U:~:~~~:e~~~t~:~;~~1~~~)k~~g 'waiec'-'::::::{ :::: ~EO <br /> <br />to aide the State in maximizing the beneficial use of its water. <br /> <br />The significant tools to be developed and/or maintained to reach these goals include: use <br />of the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) [mancial resources and developing, <br />maintaining, and using the Colorado's Decision Support Systems (CDSS). <br /> <br />Serve Water Providers and the Public - Serve water providers and the public regarding <br />water supply, compacts, water policies, threatened and endangered species, federal water <br />rights, and water quality issues. Specific areas related to technical support and consulting <br />include: <br /> <br />. Intra- and inter-state water quantity management <br />. Inter-state water quality issues <br />· Guide and counsel those wanting to develop water <br />. Environmental and recreational issues <br />. Reviewing RICD applications and making appropriate recommendations, and <br />lead efforts to improve RICD administrative/hearing and mlemaking processes <br />.
