<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item l.a <br />Case No. 2-06CW032; Application of Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District <br /> <br />Application Summary <br /> <br />This is an application for approval of an umbrella plan for augmentation to replace out-of-priority <br />depletions from various structures located within the boundaries of the Upper Arkansas Water <br />Conservancy District in Chaffee and Fremont Counties. This application seeks to supplement <br />Applicant's previously decreed plans for augmentation by approving the use of augmentation water <br />not already included in those plans and the augmentation of additional types of structures not <br />already covered by those plans. <br /> <br />CWCB Appropriations <br /> <br />The Board holds a number of in stream flow water rights within the Applicant's boundaries that <br />could be injured by this application. <br /> <br />Potential for Iniury <br /> <br />Applicant's proposed plan for augmentation, including the addition of new sources of augmentation <br />water to the Applicant's portfolio of water and the augmentation of additional types of structures <br />within the Applicant's boundaries, may injure several of the Board's Arkansas River Basin instream <br />flow water rights within the Applicant's boundaries by not replacing depletions in time, place and <br />amount. <br /> <br />Other Obiectors <br /> <br />Other objectors to this application include the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy <br />District, Bob Woodmington, Lee Rooks, Kelly Ranch, Wendell F. Hutchison Revocable Trust, <br />Penrose Water District, the Board of County Commissioners of Chaffee County, the Division of <br />Wildlife, the State and Division Engineers, the City of Aurora, Arkansas River Outfitters, Town <br />of Buena Vista, Trail's End Ranch, Shangri-La, LLC, St. Charles Mesa Water District, Poncha <br />Springs, Fairview Cemetery Association, Pueblo West Metropolitan District, Round Mountain <br />Water and Sanitation District, and the City of Salida. <br />
