This same
population methodology was used in the 1986 City of Greeley Comprehensive Plan.

Table 3-4
City of Greeley Housing ProJectiODS

'/"',"',' ,

.' ,..... .. . .
.. ......' .......... ..... .
.......... . ...... ...................
':,',,:,~j~~:::';U
":::~i)Wdi\$ite>

..... ." . ......
............ ......... . ..... . ....... . . .... .............
............................................ .. ...........,...................
...... ...............................-...... ..............................
,,:::::::f:Aaffifional: ":::::tTotai.U ".: ,,:
:HP~lligiJ:~ ' ,",'..",..a9~16g'J.l~',':.. ,

,.....u:i.i.:..,

':'::

1994
1995
1996
1997
1998
1999

1.4%

1.4%

1.1%

1.1%

1.1%

1.1%

348

353

281

284

287

290

25,316

25,664

25,945

26,229

26.516

26,806

As of January I, 1994, total housing units in the City totaled 24,968 with an estimated population
of 64,000 persons. Of these, 16,319 were single family residences with 8,649 multifamily dwellings.
With an additional 348 housing units projected for 1994, the total housing units by the end of the
year would be 25,316. However, recent analysis by City planners reveals that housing increased by
438 new homes, or 1.8%, in 1993. This trend for new construction has continued through the first
quarter of 1994 and could suggest slightly higher growth for the year.

CUrrent household occupancy is estimated to average between 2.5 to 2.6 people per household. The
City's population is expected to increase by 4,607 people from January 1994 through December 1999

GREELEY.0i3

3-4

~ 23, 19M
