Empire is about to embark on a water conservation
project and you are invited to sail in first class on this important voyage. The
object of the project is to maximize the life of the Town's water and waste water
treatment facilities and minimize everyones' costs for these vital services. Our
tickets are pre-paid as this water conservation project has been funded by a grant
from the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

Over the next year or so, our ship's manifest will include the installation of
water-saving devices such as shower and faucet restrictors, and toilet dams. Heat
tape and insulation will be provided to homeowners to help eliminate the need to
run-the-tap during cold weather. Water conservation information and projects
for children will be distributed to the crew in your monthly water bill. The
ship's plumber will be available to answer your home plumbing project
questions. Water meters will be installed at most businesses and in some homes.
Data gathered from the meters and from surveys which you complete will
provide valuable information about our water needs and use patterns; and will
help the Town Board provide us with the best, most economical water service
possible.

Welcome aboard! Smooth sailing and bon voyage on The Good Ship S.S.
Empire!

Sincerely,

Bill Berglof Don McNair
Mark Cucinella Bill Paradise
Mellodee Lowther Allan Smith
Gary St. Clair
