Construction of a new 8 inch diameter pipeline
for 1,550 feet along Ninth Street where shown on the enclosed town map. Replacement
of some 2 inch diameter pipe along the east end of Ninth Street could be included. Repair
of the pressure reducing valve (PRV) near the intersection of Ninth and Pine Streets and
installation of a new PR V near the intersection of French Street and Ninth Streets would
also be part of this alternative.

Water Demand: Peak water usage at 2 g.p.m. per tap plus new taps associated with Skaff
Subdivision and a new high school gymnasium and a 750 g.p.m. fire flow at the high
school (node #109).

~ .
I
I
I
I
\

D. Analysis Results

Output data from the pipe network computer program are included in Appendix B for each ofthe
analysis condition listed in the previous section. Calculated water system pressures are tabulated
in the output for each alternate. In most cases, comparison of water system pressures produced
from different alternatives, is the best indication of the adequacy of the water distribution system
used in the analysis. The map included in Appendix A displays the existing and proposed water
system and a numbering sequence used in the computer calculations. Numbers enclosed in
circles on the map designate the locations (node number) where pressures were calculated.
Numbers enclosed in a box on the map represent pipe numbers used in the computer program
data.

't
!
,t
~

:;

II

I
,
