<br />.l. <br /> <br />GRANT APPLICATION - PART 3 <br /> <br />GRANT CONDITIONS <br /> <br />Applications for the 1996 Water Conservation and Water Use Efficiency Block Grant <br />Program are subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Any agency or political subdivision of the State, user group or management group <br />of a water system operating in the State may apply for grant awards. <br /> <br />2. The amount of the grant request may not exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000). <br /> <br />3. The recipient of funds agrees to commence the work for which the grant funds are <br />made available within 6 months. <br /> <br />4. Failure to begin the project following receipt of an initial payment will authorize <br />the State to seek repayment of the grant funds on such terms and conditions <br />as it may determine. <br /> <br />5. The recipient offunds agrees to develop and adhere to a schedule for State review <br />of project outputs to assure that the scope and extent of project results are <br />completed as scheduled. <br /> <br />6. The recipient of funds agrees to notify the State promptly of any problems <br />encountered during the project. Cost overruns will be the responsibility of the <br />grant recipient. <br /> <br />7. A portion (I 0%) of project grant funds will be withheld until final report <br />completion and acceptance of Final report documenting results. <br /> <br />8. The applicant agrees to provide a project administrator through its own agency. <br />Project supervision may be implemented by other sources. <br /> <br />9. The demonstration project must be completed in eighteen months commencing <br />from the date of grant contract execution. <br /> <br />10.
